Suspended EFCC Chair, Bawa Marks 67 Days In DSS Custody, Refuses To Cooperate With Investigators
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) for 67 days, refusing to cooperate with investigators probing him for alleged financial impropriety.

Bawa has been in the custody of the DSS since June 14, 2023, and has so far refused to answer any questions from the investigators, or to hire a lawyer to represent him.
The DSS is investigating Bawa on allegations of mismanagement, misappropriation, and diversion of proceeds of assets forfeited to the EFCC.
The agency is also probing Bawa for allegedly collaborating with the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to carry out fraudulent deals with some Bureau De Change operators.
