Taiwanese industrialists will soon set up factories in parts of Cross River State, the governor confirmed.
Governor Ben Ayade made the confirmation in Calabar when he received the entrepreneurs who were in the state to concretise discussions and participate in the Taiwan – Africa Business Association conference.
Ayade said some of them will invest in the production of drugs for both humans and animals, medical teaching aids, clinical training services, clutch facing and clutch parts, construction Turnkey equipment and international logistics service providers. Read also:

Others are to invest in medical and laboratory equipment, solar and LED products, food, snacks and beverages manufacturing and livestock equipment.
The theme for the workshop was ‘Taiwan Economic and Business Cooperation Mission to Cross River State, Nigeria’.
Chairman of Calabar Chamber of Commerce Etta Ndoma-Egba said, “We need to look beyond crude oil and dependence on monthly allocations from the federal government for survival.”
The chairman, Taiwan – Africa Business Association, Mr. Jeff Sun, thanked the government and people of Cross River State and expressed optimism that the relationship will be beneficial to both Cross River and Taiwan.
