Eko Hot Blog reports that the 9th edition of the Tajudeen Olusi Foundation’s Ramadan Lecture witnessed a clarion call for governments to curb wasteful spending and prioritize judicious resource allocation to address the prevailing economic crisis in the country.
The event, held at the APC Central Senatorial District Secretariat in Ikoyi, Lagos, brought together dignitaries and stakeholders to deliberate on the theme “Endurance and Perseverance as Virtues in Islam.”
Sheikh Abdul Hakeem Awwal, the National Missioner of the Ikhwanul Muslim Foundation, emphasized the importance of halting wasteful expenditures as a crucial step toward rectifying the nation’s economic woes. He urged Nigerians to exercise patience during these challenging times, asserting that all difficulties in life hold valuable lessons.
“Allah tests every individual, but only those who remain steadfast will overcome challenges and turbulence,” said the Sheikh, stressing the need for complete reliance on Allah, especially during hardships.
The cleric further attributed the high level of insecurity in the country to a lack of values and care for underprivileged children, underscoring the importance of addressing societal ills.
Senator Sanni Eshinlokun, the Special Guest at the event, commended the chosen topic for its relevance and timeliness.
He emphasized that destinies are determined by Allah, and individuals should not fight over what has not been bestowed upon them. Senator Eshinlokun also praised Prince Tajudeen Olusi for his kindness and generosity, acknowledging the positive impact he has had on many lives.
Hon. Abayomi Daramola, the Chairman of the Foundation, explained that the organization was established to provide various forms of support and assistance to humanity. He highlighted the lesson of patience learned from the Ramadan lecture and assured that the upcoming 10th Anniversary and other programs under the foundation would be even grander.
Prince Tajudeen Olusi, the foundation’s founder, expressed gratitude for Allah’s mercy and generosity, attributing his lifelong patience to his success. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Allah’s cause and assisting those in need, sharing his personal experience of gracefully stepping down after winning a slot, accepting the decision with humility.
Tunde Balogun, the Chairman of the occasion, revealed that numerous individuals have benefited from projects initiated by the Prince Olusi Foundation, highlighting the organization’s positive impact on the community.
Rasheedat Abiodun-Abu, the Chairman of Iru-Victorial LCDA, and Kamal Bashua Salau, members of the Ramadan Lecture organizing committee, expressed optimism that the President would address the economic crisis soon. They urged all Nigerians to seize opportunities to contribute to the nation’s growth and development.
