Take A Look At One Of Sanwo-Olu’s Isolation Centres In Lagos State

There have been several commendations from Lagosians to the administration of Governor  Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the level of preparedness and other precautionary measures put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus in the State.

In a viral  video on social media, Lagosians currently receiving treatment in one of the isolation centres have also expressed their appreciation for saving their lives with the provision of the confinement centre.

A young man in particular who was spotted vibing to a music said he is recuperating.

” I am feeling good. We are being treated nice. I am perfect“, another patient said while noting that the isolation centre was quite comfortable and convenient.

As at the time of filing this report, Lagos has the total number of 91 infected cases and 7 have been discharged according to the daily briefing provided by the Honourable Commissiner for Health in Lagos State, Professor Akin Abayomi.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari in a nationwide broadcast  ordered that Lagos, Ogun and Abuja be lockdown in order to fight the pandemic by tracing and isolating  all individuals that have come into contact with confirmed cases and to ensure the treatment of confirmed cases while restricting further spread to other states.

Although lagosians have expressed their displeasure because of the economic downturn of the curfew, the Lagos State government unveiled economic stimulus package for the indigent and the most vulnerable in the society.

The stimulus, which comes in food packs, to be distributed to every local government in the State is aimed at cushioning the effect of the fourteen days stay-at-home directive.

The Governor stated that the package will touch at least 200,000 thousand households in the first phase.

There is no doubt Lagos State is providing the leadership with its concerted effort in curbing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The reaction of those in the isolation centres says it all.
