The Chairman, Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority, Agege, Honourable Olalekan Majiyagbe has tasked teachers to take the issues of their health serious if they are to discharge their duties effectively.
Majiyagbe made this call on Thursday when he declared open the 2019 World Teachers Day celebration at Okusanya primary school, Agege.

The World Teachers Day celebration, also known as International Teachers Day is an annual event celebrated on October 5 to address the status and situations of teachers around the world.
Majiyagbe led the Teachers Day Walk for Fitness at Abibat Mogaji Millennium High School, Iloro Agege to show that physical fitness is required of teachers as well as mental and emotional fitness.
“As teachers, it is important you take issues relating to your health seriously. One of the best ways to do this is to go for regular check-ups. Do not wait until something is wrong before you rush down to the hospital. By then, it might be too late. You can’t discharge your duties if you effectively if you are not healthy,” he said.
