At least three persons were confirmed dead in an inferno ignited by a tanker explosion on Ibrahim Babangida Boulevard in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
An eyewitness said the fuel-laden tanker fell and emptied its content after its brakes refused to respond.
No fewer than five vehicles and one motorcycle were consumed in the tanker explosion.

The state’s Commissioner for Special Duties, Femi Ogunbanwo said a number of people suffered varying degrees of injuries and have been taken to the hospital.
“Incidents like this nature will always happen and we are always on top of it in the procurement of equipment and even fire tenders,” he said.
The state fire service, men of the civil defence, and other security operatives have since put the situation under control.
