Transfer: Arsenal Set To Sign Real Madrid Winger

Arsenal have made a transfer bid to sign Spanish and Real Madrid winger, Lucas Vazquez when the January transfer window opens.

The North London club are trying to conclude a deal for the winger before the January transfer window opens.

However, El Desmarque reports that the North London club will face tough competition from Italian side AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen.

Lucas Vazquez seems to have lost his place at the Bernabeu, with manager Zinedine Zidane giving more game time to Brazilian forwards Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.

Arsenal would see an ideal alternative for Vazquez, who has won three Champions League with Real.

The 28-year-old would provide competition in the attacking positions for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and promising youngsters Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Meanwhile, reports have emerged that midfield maestro Mesut Ozil is set to leave Arsenal during the January transfer window.

Gunners manager Unai Emery has not hidden his desire to give other members of the squad more playing time than the former German international.

Ozil, Arsenal highest-paid player, has reportedly put his London home up for sale.

His wage may be the only obstacle to a move away from the Emirates stadium in January.
