Taraba State government has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew of 6p.m. to 6a.m. on Jalingo, the state capital from yesterday till further notice. This was contained in a release by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Darius Ishaku, Hassan Mijinyawa.
The statement read in part: “Taraba State government has imposed dusk to dawn curfew on Jalingo, the state capital from today, Monday(yesterday) until further notice.
“The curfew will run from 6p.m. to 6a.m., daily. However, some Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials, key agents of political parties and election observers involved in collation of elections results are exempted.
“Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku enjoins the people of the state to continue to be law abiding and urges security agencies to ensure strict compliance.”
