The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, Moses Joel Yamu, who disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City, said the suspect was arrested by personnel of the Igarra Division.
Yamu said the suspect was a self-acclaimed native doctor who specialises in preparing charms against guns and cutlasses.
He noted that the suspect after preparing the charms for one Alex Ezekiel tried to test the efficacy of the charms by shooting his client.
According to him, one Alex Ezekiel ‘m’ now deceased, went to the “native doctor” to get the charms prepared for him.
“After preparing the charms, the native doctor tried to test the efficacy of the charms by shooting the deceased with a gun.
“Unfortunately, the deceased sustained fatal injuries, was rushed to Ifejola Hospital, Igarra where he was certified dead by a medical Doctor”, he said.
He said the suspect would face prosecution as soon as the investigation is concluded.
