Tems, born Temilade Openiyi on July 11, 1995, in Lagos, Nigeria, is a highly acclaimed Nigerian singer and songwriter. Raised in a single-parent household after her British father left when she was just five years old, Tems was brought up by her Nigerian mother.
Her early education took place in Lagos, where she attended Dowen College in Lekki before moving to Johannesburg to study Economics at a university in South Africa.
