Tension As Gunmen Invade Abuja Estate, Kidnap Residents.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in the early hours of Monday reportedly invaded Genuine Estate after EFAB Queens in Gwarinpa, an estate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It was gathered that the gunmen were armed with bows, arrows and machetes abducted residents of the estate and took them away to an unknown destination.
An unconfirmed number of residents were said to have been kidnapped from the estate during the invasion.
Security forces have arrived at the scene, but the situation remains tense in and around the surrounding areas.
Residents in the area are advised to maintain situational awareness, upgrade security measures around their homes and avoid late-night movements.

When contacted, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh told newsmen there is an unconfirmed incident at Galadimawa area of the FCT and not Gwarinpa.

She said it was not yet confirmed if the incident was a case of kidnap or robbery.
