Umuike – Ndiowerre community in ihitte uboma council area in Imo state has been invaded by suspected ritualists, killing three members of the community.
Comrade Simon Ebegbulem who briefed the press on the incident said that the ritualists were attacking the people in their farmland.
He appealed to the state commissioner of police, Mr Bolaji Fafowora to come to the rescue, saying six suspects had been captured and handed over to the police.

He said, “Three persons were killed in my community, specifically in umuchaku uhuala, another one at umuodoma alaocha. Two of the people killed were dumped in a hole where their bodies were found. The third person was Killed at mbaraocha umuike when she went to the farm about a month ago.”
He said that the killer who came from another local government area stormed the community again on Thursday, saying six of them came in a bus to the community and attempted to abduct a man called Rufus on his farm.
He told reporters that as the men were struggling to push the man into their bus, the man’s wife raised an alarm that drew members of the community, adding that the suspected ritualists were apprehended and handed over to the police for further investigation.
