Danmasanin Birnin-Gwari and former Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, Alhaji Zubair Abdurra’uf, who spoke to journalists on Friday evening, said that “when I said early this month that terrorists were closing in, on Birnin-Gwari, many people did not believe me.”
Abdurra’uf expressed his dismay that the terrorists had the audacity to enter the main town of Birnin-Gwari and carry out their evil acts.
He criticised the government for not addressing the issue of security in Birnin-Gwari and suggested that a security summit be held in the area.
He also noted that the terrorists had taken over most of the farmlands in the central part of Birnin-Gwari, making it impossible for people to farm.
Despite this, he expressed hope that the government would take action to enable the people of Birnin-Gwari to conduct their activities peacefully.
