Eko Hot Blog reports that The official announcement of the partnership between Nigeria’s well-known monthly boxing tournament, the Boxing and MMA Hall of Fame, and Abuja Continental has been made, signifying a significant moment for sports development and youth empowerment in the country.
At the behest of sports enthusiast, philanthropist, and Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, the Boxing and MMA Hall of Fame has played a pivotal role in the training and development of top-level boxers in Nigeria.
Teaming up with Continental Hotel, the hotel will now serve as the official venue for the National Boxing and MMA Amateur Championship.
Commencing with the upcoming Abuja Championship scheduled for April 27, a series of national championships will unfold, culminating in the grand finale later this year.
Contestants from various states, including Kwara, Kogi, Kaduna, Kebbi, Niger, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue, and the FCT, Abuja, will compete. The grand finale aims to crown the first set of national amateur champions in the country.

With the support of Abuja Continental Hotel, we are setting a new standard for national Amateur Boxing and MMA sports, aiming to make Nigeria proud on the world stage,” Soyanwo said.
