“The Cash You’re Sharing Has No Value On Nigerians, Unlock Lagos”, Lawyer Tells Buhari
Lagos-based lawyer, Ebunolu Adegboruwa has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to end the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus pandemic in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja on or before Friday, April 3rd 2020.
In a letter to the president, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria highlighted some of the hazardous effect caused by the lockdown from physical abuse by security operatives to economic hardship saying that the so-called cash distribution has no real value to the people.
While commending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Professor Akin Abayomi, the Commissioner of Health, for their gallant efforts towards fighting the spread, Adegboruwa revealed that Lagos State has saved the nation of this calamity through its proactive measures, which have now been adopted by other states.

He therefore appealed to the President to lift the lockdown and allow the governors and ministers of the affected areas to determine the scope of measures to be taken in preventing further spread.
“Abuja being the capital of Nigeria and Lagos being the commercial nerve center, both cities cannot remain under lockdown beyond one week. The banks and markets should open and people should be allowed to move around, to eke out a living for themselves” he said.
