The Full List Of FIFA 2022/2023’s Best

EKO HOT BLOG reports on the winners list of the FIFA Best awards that were announced on Monday night, 27th February.

Paris was the venue for the glittering ceremony to honor the top footballers and coaches of the year, as well as the best fans and the most sporting player.

Lionel Messi and Alexia Putellas were named the Best FIFA Men’s and Women’s Players of 2022, respectively.

Messi, who now plays for Paris Saint-Germain, was chosen ahead of Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema of Real Madrid. It was the first time the Argentinean star had won the award since 2015. Putellas won the Women’s Player award for the second year in a row, beating Alex Morgan and Beth Mead to the prize.

The awards ceremony also recognized the best XI players in both the men’s and women’s categories. Thibaut Courtois was named Best Men’s Goalkeeper, while Emiliano Martinez won the award for Best Men’s Goalkeeper. The men’s team included Achraf Hakimi, Joao Cancelo, Virgil van Dijk, Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modric, and Casemiro in midfield, and a forward line of Messi, Mbappe, Karim Benzema, and Erling Haaland.

In the women’s category, Christiane Endler was selected as the goalkeeper, with Lucy Bronze, Maria Leon, Leah Williamson, and Wendy Renard in defense. The midfield included Alexia Putellas, Keira Walsh, and Lena Oberdorf, with Alex Morgan, Sam Kerr, and Beth Mead forming the forward line. Argentina’s fans were awarded the FIFA Best Fans Award, while Luka Lochoshvili was the recipient of the Fair Play Award.

Lionel Scaloni was named Best Men’s Coach for his work with the Argentine national team, while Sarina Wiegman won the Best Women’s Coach Award for her success with the Dutch national team. Finally, the Puskas Award, which recognizes the best goal of the year, went to Marcin Oleksy for his stunning strike in a match between Warta Poznan and Stal Rzeszow in November 2022.

Overall, the ceremony was a night of celebration for some of the world’s top footballers, coaches, and fans, as they were recognized for their achievements over the year.
