The History Behind Mark Zuckerberg’s Success

  • Mark Zuckerberg, was born on May 14, 1984. He was born in White Plains, New York.
  • He was born into a well educated family.
  • He developed the interest in computer programming at a very young age.

At the age of 12, Mark Zuckerberg created a messaging program named “Zucknet”, that he implemented as an inter-office communication system for his father’s dental practice.

Due to his early success, his parents hired a computer programming tutor for him, while he was in high school.

Mark started college at Harvard University. While attending Harvard, Mark became popular as a computer programmer on campus.

In his sophomore year, he had already built two programs; “Course Match and Face Mash”, but it was shut down by the University.

He partnered with his friends to create a social networking site that allowed Harvard students to connect with each other.

The site went live on June 2004, under the name “The Facebook”. The site became popular in campus and outside campus.

After his sophomore year, he dropped out of college to pursue what is now called “Facebook”, full-time.

The website reached over one million users by the end of 2004. A company “Accel Partners”, invested $12.7million in the site. By the end of 2005, Facebook had 5.5million users from around the world. Currently Facebook users have surpassed 1billion users worldwide.

Mark Zuckerberg, “Facebook” became a success and his wealth keeps increasing yearly. His networth is $78billion as of 2020. He is married to his wife “Priscilla Chan” and they have a daughter, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
