The Internet Remembers — AY Threatens To Sue Julius Agwu

  • Talk about joining an argument one is not welcome in, Comedian Julius Agwu has caught himself in the fray of Basketmouth and AY.

  • This relates to the N30,000 saga that has overwhelmed the internet.

  • AY Makun is threatening legal actions on Julius Agwu over his recent comment on the drama.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that AY, a popular Nigerian comedian, has threatened to file a lawsuit against fellow comedian Julius Agwu over accusations that he hung up on him during a phone conversation.

Agwu had weighed in on the ongoing feud between AY and Basketmouth, two of his colleagues in the comedy industry, suggesting that there was more to their disagreement than a N30,000 business transaction that had gone wrong.

In an interview with Naija FM, Agwu claimed that he had called AY to request a rescheduling of his yearly Easter Sunday comedy show because it coincided with his event on the same day. Agwu alleged that AY refused his request and hung up on him.

Reacting to the allegation on his Instagram page, AY denied taking over Agwu’s Easter Sunday date, and shared proof to support his claim.

He warned Agwu that he would file a slanderous lawsuit against him if he continued to make false accusations and damage his reputation.

“The truth remains the only ultimate power to downplay all lies in a place where the INTERNET NEVER FORGETS,” AY wrote.

“Should this continue without any proof of your claims of me bewitching you, I will be filing a slanderous lawsuit against you for consistently trying to damage my reputation.”

AY also emphasized that projecting peace did not make him a weakling and that he was not seeking unnecessary friendship.

The feud between AY and Basketmouth has been ongoing for years, with both comedians taking shots at each other on social media and in interviews.

Agwu’s comments on the matter have now brought him into the fray, potentially resulting in a legal battle.
