EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken out about his shock dismissal from the club in September 2021. Tuchel, who recently took over as Bayern Munich manager, revealed that he was taken aback by the decision made by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.
At the time of his dismissal, Tuchel had enjoyed a successful run at the club, having won both the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, despite his impressive record, Tuchel was dismissed after just 100 games in charge of the team.
Speaking about his departure from the club, Tuchel said, “It was a shock. The meeting only lasted 3-5 minutes at eight in the morning. We all thought we were on the right track and had more time to build something.”
Despite the sudden nature of his departure, Tuchel stated that he had a good relationship with the people at Chelsea and that he had now moved on to a new challenge with Bayern Munich.
His comments have shed light on the circumstances surrounding his dismissal, which came as a surprise to many in the football world. Many believed that Tuchel would be given more time to continue building on his successes at Stamford Bridge.
