EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has expressed confidence that he will return to power soon. Oyetola made this assertion while giving a short remark during the 12-year remembrance prayers for his late mother, Alhaja Wulemot Oyetola on Monday at Iragbiji, Osun State.
“I am thankful to God for His wonders over our lives. We thank Him for giving us victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and I thank our people for their support all along,” Oyetola said.

He also called on the people of Osun State to continue to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the only party that can take them to victory, saying, “This is the party that God has made for us. That is where benefits lie. Please, vote APC all through.”
Oyetola commended the people of the state for their unflinching support and for coming out en masse to elect the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the presidential election.
“We want you to know that APC is the only party that can take us to victory. If we truly want to benefit from the federal government, please, let’s elect our people to the House of Assembly. These are the people that will work with us when we return to government,” he added.
He also emphasized the importance of prayer, saying that it is what they were brought up with and encouraged the people to continue to pray for the state and the country. “We don’t believe in any other thing except prayers. Let’s continue to pray so that we can thank God in the end,” he said.
Oyetola, who served as Chief of Staff to former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, was elected Governor of Osun State in 2018 under the platform of the APC. His mandate has been the subject of legal battles since the election, but he remains optimistic about his chances of returning to power.
