The Robbery At Eleko Junction On Eid-il-Fitri Day – See New Reaction From Youths

The people of Eleko Junction, Ibeju Lekki Local Government, have started rotational policing among themselves in support of the Nigeria Police Force.

The residents who have always been suspicious of any strange movement since the odd situation that occurred on the 24 May 2020, Eid-il-Fitri Day, said no mercy would be given to anyone that is caught up in any nefarious activities.

It was reportedly said that some gang of robbers came to the town popularly known as Eleko Junction with a van and robbed people of their belongings around 6:15 pm on the day of Eid-il-Fitri.

It was as if members of the gang had a boat on the lagoon before they came for the ungodly operation as they headed towards a village calls Ososa which has a lagoon that links the area to Epe and Ikorodu.

Not too long they got to the entrance point of the town, they were caught up by a mob after them.

Taiwo Ogunboyejo who happened to be a witness told our reporter that those robbers were four in number, adding that before further interrogation, police officers from Elemoro police post had arrived and took them away.

“We are not sleeping in the night for security purposes. Won’t we get to rest in the day time also because of threats from bad boys,” he lamented, “well, we have promised to work with police now.”
