EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has praised Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, describing him as “seriously good”.
The Argentine midfielder joined Chelsea in January from Benfica for a record-breaking fee of £107 million and has since made an impressive start to his Chelsea career.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Owen said, “In Enzo Fernandez, I think Chelsea has got a seriously good player. I know he cost an awful lot of money and I know people will be saying you should be good for that type of money. But I think he’s seriously good. He absolutely oozes class.”
Fernandez, who is the son of former Real Madrid and Spain midfielder, Fernando Redondo, has featured in several games for Chelsea since joining the club, including the UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against FC Porto, where he put in an impressive performance.
Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has also been full of praise for the midfielder, describing him as a “top talent” and an “amazing personality”. The German coach has utilized Fernandez in various positions across the midfield, showcasing the player’s versatility and adaptability.
Chelsea fans will be hoping that Fernandez can continue to impress and play a key role in the club’s bid for domestic and European success this season.
