There Won’t Be Afrobeats Without Don Jazzy And D’banj –Teebillz

As far as the estranged husband of Nigerian music star, Tiwa Savage, TeeBillz, is concerned, there won’t be anything called Afrobeats today without the input of D’banj and his former partner, Don Jazzy.

Dwelling on Afrobeats, the new wave which is known as a mixture of the Afrobeat brand founded by music great, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, with other elements, TeeBillz was reacting to D’banj’s electrifying performance during the AfroNation concert in Portugal.

“It’s funny how everyone is shouting AfroBeats to the world now and conversations are being held around the world without acknowledgement …… without the KINGS @iambangalee and @donjazzy there will be no #Afrobeats blessings to you guys,” he wrote.
