There’s No Hiding It — Davido Breaks Ice On 2023 Elections

EKO HOT BLOG reports that famous Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stated that the 2023 general elections were not credible. He made this known during a recent interview with Beat 99.9FM, Lagos.

Davido, who recently returned to social media after a 6-month break following the death of his son, Ifeanyi, said he would have been very vocal about the elections if he was online. He expressed his happiness about the low turnout of voters, stating that the safety of voters matters.

The Dami Duro crooner said, “I’m happy that people were not really coming out. You know if I was online, I would have been really vocal about it [the election]. I have always been vocal about it. But, I mean, I was happy about it [the outcome of the election]. That’s just being honest.”

Davido went on to express his opinion on the credibility of the election. “It’s what it is! But I personally don’t feel like that was really a credible election. You know what I’m saying? I feel like the most important thing is the safety of life of everybody. But in all, that wasn’t it. So, I don’t think I will be able to hide that. I can’t hide that,” he said.

The 2023 general elections held on February 23, 2023, and March 9, 2023, respectively. The elections saw the emergence of new political leaders and the re-election of some incumbents.
