EKO HOT BLOG reports that Thomas Tuchel, the new manager of Bayern Munich, has warned that teams in Europe and England don’t want to play against the German side.
Tuchel made this statement during his official unveiling as the new Bayern Munich manager on Saturday. The former Chelsea boss replaces Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked by the club on Friday.
According to Tuchel, his first conversation with the Bundesliga champions took place on Tuesday. He started thinking about the squad after the conversation and stated that Bayern Munich is highly rated in England and Paris. He also stated that the club’s size and strength are undisputed, and nobody wants to play against them.
Bayern Munich will face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, and Tuchel will come up against his former colleague and current Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola. Tuchel beat Guardiola to the trophy in 2021 when he led Chelsea to victory in the Champions League final against Manchester City.
The first leg of the quarter-final clash between Bayern Munich and Manchester City will take place at the Allianz Arena on April 6, while the second leg will take place at the Etihad Stadium on April 12.
