The former France striker Thierry Henry has confirmed his appointment as the new manager for American Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact.
MLS club signed the former Arsenal talisman on a two-year deal with an option to extend his contract.
Henry via his Twitter handle expressed his excitement as he returns to a coaching role for the first time since January when he was sacked by French club Monaco.
He wrote; “I’m delighted to announce that I have become the new head coach of the Montreal Impact. I’m excited for this challenge in such a multicultural and diverse city. I can’t wait to be back on the side lines. #greattobeback”
