Hours after the verified Facebook account of Isa Pantami laid a curse on Deji Adeyanju, the honorable minister of Communications and Digital Economy has come out to say that his account was hacked.
Deji Adeyanju, who is a human rights activist and convener of Group known as Concerned Nigerians, had written a letter to the United States of America, asking them to place Isa Pantami on terrorism watchlist.
In the letter dated April 11, 2021, with subject, ‘Terrorist Watchlist – Isa Pantami’ addressed to the Secretary of State and United States Department of State, Deji Adeyanju pointed out that Pantami is an alleged supporter of Osama Bin Laden and Mullah Omar, who are world’s extremists leaders.
Going further, he said that if the allegations are true, Pantami is not supposed to hold a sensitive position or be in charge of Nigeria’s database.
Following the letter to the US, Pantami’s supporters and some Muslims, took to social media to describe Deji Adeyanju as an ‘Enemy To Islam’.
In a Facebook post by one Datti Assalafiy, Deji was called a non-Muslim that hates Islam and Muslims and also supports the abuse of Islam and Muslims on social media.
The Honorable Minister of Communication, while commenting on the Facebook post, wrote in Hausa, “Allah ya tsine masa alubarika” and when translated, it means “May Allah rebuke his blessings”.
Hours after commenting that, the minister came and said that his Facebook page was hacked, and anything said earlier should be disregarded.
“This account was hacked. Just recovered it. It is not being managed by Dr Isa Ali Pantami, but by some youth. Disregard any request, comment or message from it,” the statement read.
However, Nigerians are now saying that if the Minister’s Facebook account can be hacked so easily, that means our database is not safe at all in his hands, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
