EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Arewa Progressive Youths League has slammed Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai for dismissing the seniority of the northern elders, stating that such a remark was disrespectful to them.
El-Rufai during an interview with the BBC said there is nothing like elders as age does not indicate being responsible.

Reacting to the comment, the Arewa group leader, Sanusi Ibrahim, in a statement on Tuesday said it was the highest peak of insanity for such a man to make such a generalization against the respected northern elders.
He further urged the northern public not to lose their guard and fall for the lies and deceptions of El-Rufai who present himself as the common man.
He said: “It is, therefore, the highest peak of insanity for such a man with a questionable pedigree to make such sweeping generalisation against the respected northern elders, custodians of the northern values and expect to get away with it.
