This Is What Will Happen In Nigeria From Tomorrow, FG Declares

There is a going to be a positive change in our country, Nigeria from Sunday, May 24th – Sunday, May 31st 2020.

Lots of activities are already lined up that will make this Nation look interesting next week.

Because in the past weeks, there have been so much chaos, unrest and upheaval, coupled with the rising cases of Coronavirus and the economy that has failed to reopen.

However, with all these programmes, things will hopefully bounce back to normal.

The policies of the Federal Government has affected the way of life of Nigerians including when to go to work and when not to, when to observe a holidays and even the numbers of days to be used for certain celebrations.

Like every other countries of the world, Nigerian government has also set aside some special days for some special celebrations. These celebrations include Democracy Day, Worker’s Day, Children’s Day, Independence Day etc.

Some of these holidays come with so much Joy to Nigerians as many will rest from going to office to partake in the celebration, but now a holiday means nothing to us because we are already on holiday, nevertheless let’s make the most of it.

Below is a rundown of how next week will look like:

*Sunday, May 24th 2020

As Muslims around the world bid farewell to the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, they also prepare for the festival of Eid al-Fitr.

Depending on the sighting of the moon, Eid celebrations will begin either in the evening of Saturday, May 23, or Sunday, May 24.

The occasion will be affected this year as nations around the world take measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic, including the suspension of Eid prayers, outdoor festivals, and other celebratory events.

*Monday and Tuesday, 25th/26th Of May 2020

The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared these days public holidays to observe the Sallah celebrations.

 *Wednesday, 27th Of May 2020

Guess what? It’s Children’s Day! As they are not even in school, I don’t know if they would enjoy it. But this is the perfect time for fathers to bond with their daughters and mothers with their sons. Have fun! Spoil your children. Prove that you love them so much even in times like these.

 *Thursday, 28th of May 2020

This day has been set aside for the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC).

 *Friday 29th Of May 2020

It’s Democracy Day. But it has been changed to June 12. This Day marks the day the military handed over power to an elected civilian government in 1999, marking the beginning of the longest continuous civilian rule since Nigeria’s independence from colonial rule in 1960. It is a tradition that has been held annually, beginning in year 2000. June 12 was formerly known as Abiola Day, celebrated in Lagos, Nigeria and some south western states of Nigeria.

*AND THE GREATEST OF ALL HOLIDAYS,  SUNDAY, MAY 31ST 2020.

Can you guess?? It’s Pentecost Day!

Pentecost is a Christian Festival celebrated 49 days after Easter Sunday (the seventh Sunday) to commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the children of God while they waited in Jerusalem.

Ekohotblog promises to give you a package that Day. We won’t wait in Jerusalem. Right in our houses, that Holy Fire will fall afresh on us.

So get ready, because it’s a week to look forward to even in this phased Lockdown.
