Thisday Newspaper, Arise TV Chairman Loses Mum

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Princess Margaret Obaigbena (Nee Usifoh), the mother of chairman of This Newspaper and Arise TV, Nduka Obaigbena, is dead.
The Royal family of Owa Kingdom, Delta State announced her passage at 88 after a brief illness.
Princess Margaret was a former Nursing officer in the former Bendel State Government, which later became Delta State Government.
Princess Obaigbena who is survived by five children including the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Thisday/Arise Media Group, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, died just before midnight at a London hospital.
As a young woman, she studied nursing and rose to become the Chief Nursing Officer of the defunct Bendel State Goverment and later Delta State Government.

She also served as a special adviser to three Delta State governors.
Her funeral arrangements will be announced by the family.
