EKO HOT BLOG reports that former Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has turned down an approach from Sevilla this month, it has been revealed.
The LaLiga club made a move for Tuchel before hiring Jorge Sampaoli, BILD reports.
Sevilla sounded out Tuchel before sacking Julen Lopetegui, but the German turned them down as he is looking for a “bigger challenge”.
Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea last month after a sluggish start to the season.
Blues co-owner, Todd Boehly, replaced the German with ex-Brighton manager, Graham Potter.
Sevilla have since hired Sampaoli before parting with Lopetegui a fortnight ago.
