Three Dead, One Injured In Ogun Road Accident

  • Three persons have died and one injured in Ogun road accident.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that no fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal crash that occurred around Saapade Bridge, Ogere area of Ogun State.

It was learnt that the accident occurred on Sunday around 8am in the morning.

Confirming the accident, Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, said that “a total of five persons were involved, all male adults.”

Okpe said “one person sustained injury as three deaths were recorded from the crash.”

According to her, a Mack truck, with registration number, SMK499XU and a Nissan car marked GH598LND were involved.

The FRSC image maker stated that the suspected causes of the crash were route violation (one way drive) and excessive speed.

“The injured victim was taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere for medical attention. Effort is ongoing to remove one of the trapped deceased while the other 02 dead bodies were deposited at FOS morgue.

“The Sector Commander, FRSC Ogun, Corps Commander Ahmed Umar, cautioned motorists from violating traffic rules and regulations because of the dangers involved.

“He also commiserated with the family of the victims, asking them to contact FRSC Ogere for more information about the crash,” he said.
