Eko Hot Blog report in a tragic turn of events, three American troops lost their lives in a drone attack at a base in northeast Jordan, near the Syria border, the military confirmed on Sunday.
This incident marks the first time members of the US forces died due to hostile fire during the Israel-Hamas war.
The US Central Command released a statement stating, “On January 28, three US service members were killed and 25 injured from a one-way attack (drone) that impacted at a base in northeast Jordan, near the Syria border.”
The attack, carried out by a drone, resulted in casualties among the US troops stationed in the region.
Details surrounding the incident, including the exact nature of the attack and the identity of the perpetrators, are still under investigation.
Expressing shock and sadness, an eyewitness at the scene remarked, “The sudden drone attack took us all by surprise. Our thoughts are with the families of the fallen soldiers during this difficult time.”
