Throwback To Michael Jackson’s Fire Accident In 1984

  • World Renowned and Music Legend, Michael Jackson scared his fans by getting his hair burnt during a PEPSI commercial show in 1984.

Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital on that day bring 27th of January, 1984 in Los Angeles. This happened after been set on fire during the filming of a promotional video.

Michael Jackson was filming this stage concert as a promotional campaign advertisement alongside his family members when sparks of pyrotechnics ignited his hair.

He didn’t stop his performance at this rather he was given a first aid by slaps on his head by crews and family members just to extinguish the ignition.

He was initially taken to a medical centre where it was noted he to have a third degree burns. Though it was treated and he was back on his feet.

He was prescribed series of pain killers to calm his nerves and all other body disorders.

Michael Jackson and his brothers signed this promotional deal worth of $5million November of the previous year.

After this sudden incident, Pepsi compesated Michael Jackson with $1.5million which he donated to the hospital in which he was treated.
