‘Timeless’ Was A Name Inspired By Don Jazzy — Davido Reveals

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nigerian superstar singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that the title of his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” was suggested to him by legendary producer, Don Jazzy.

Davido made the revelation during an interview where he was asked about his latest project. The singer said that Don Jazzy suggested the title to him via an Instagram message sometime last year. Although he initially considered other album names, he eventually settled for ‘Timeless’ after Don Jazzy’s suggestion.

It can be recalled that Davido released his highly anticipated fourth studio album on March 31, 2023. The 17-track album, which was initially slated for release earlier, was delayed due to the passing of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The album features notable guest appearances from Grammy award-winning Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo, British rapper, Skepta, Asake, Fave, Cavemen, and DMW’s latest signees Morravey and Logos Olori.

Since its release, the album has taken the music industry by storm, topping the Apple Music chart in over 17 countries in less than 24 hours. The album even peaked at number 2 on the US Apple Music chart, setting an African record.

Interestingly, all of Davido’s last three album titles contain the word “time.” His sophomore album was named ‘A Good Time,’ his third studio album was titled ‘A Better Time,’ and his latest album is called ‘Timeless.’
