BREAKING: Tinubu To Head To Brazil Days After Saudi Arabia Return
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to travel to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, to participate in the 19th G20 Leaders’ Summit, just days after returning from the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the trip in a statement on Sunday, highlighting that Tinubu’s attendance is at the invitation of Brazil’s President and current G20 Chair, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the summit, scheduled for November 18–19, will host leaders from the world’s top economies, including the European Union, African Union, and multilateral financial institutions.
This year’s theme, “Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,” will focus on critical global challenges, including the fight against hunger and poverty, reforms of global governance institutions, sustainable development, and energy transition.
President Tinubu is also expected to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the event to advance Nigeria’s socio-economic reforms and global standing.
Nigeria has consistently advocated for reforms in global governance, presenting itself as a candidate for a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Accompanying the President are key officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; Ministers Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development), Hannatu Musawa (Art, Tourism, Culture and Creativity), and Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (State for Agriculture and Food Security); as well as Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency.
The President is scheduled to return to Nigeria upon the summit’s conclusion.
