Tinubu Set For Major Cabinet Reshuffle Ahead Of UNGA Trip
President Bola Tinubu is poised for a significant cabinet reshuffle this week, aimed at injecting fresh perspectives and renewed energy into his administration.
A high-ranking source within the presidency revealed to the Sunday Tribune that the president’s decision is driven by a need to address performance concerns that have stagnated the cabinet’s progress.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that following his recent trip to China, Tinubu is reportedly planning to finalize the cabinet dissolution before departing for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The timing of the reshuffle indicates a strategic move to clear domestic uncertainties, allowing the president to engage confidently on the global stage.
Sources suggest that the president is dissatisfied with the performance of several ministers, many of whom are expected to be relieved of their duties.
“President Tinubu is not satisfied with the performances of a number of his ministers and is determined to show them the exit door,” said the source, hinting that a new list of candidates is already in the works to fill the anticipated vacancies.
Rumors that the recent resignation of presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale was connected to the impending cabinet overhaul were dispelled by insiders, who clarified that Ngelale’s departure is not related to the broader reshuffle. However, the changes may include the return of familiar faces, as reports suggest that a former minister from the Buhari administration is being considered for a new ministerial appointment.
