EKO HOT BLOG reports that the national Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was reportedly thrown into confusion after the party’s chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, announced the Senate President Ahmed Lawan as a consensus presidential candidate.
Adamu made the announcement at a National Working Committee (NWC) meeting in Abuja on Monday.
However, he said that aspirants such as Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Kayode Fayemi, and David Umahi, among others, will still be allowed to contest the primary at the Eagle Square convention tomorrow.
Recall that 11 APC northern governors had on Saturday agreed that the party’s presidential ticket be zoned to the South.
