Tinubu Reappoints Prof. Samson Duna As NBRRI Director-General

President Bola Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Prof. Samson Duna as the Director-General of the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) for another four-year term.

This announcement was made in a statement by the Deputy Director of Information at NBRRI, Mr. Peter Mashem, on Tuesday in Abuja. Mashem confirmed that Duna’s reappointment was communicated through a letter from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that each Prof. Duna, who has held the position of Director-General of NBRRI since 2020, is a distinguished academic and professional in civil engineering. Hailing from Billiri Local Government in Gombe State, he is recognized as an authority in his field, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the role.

“Duna is an erudite professor of Civil Engineering, registered with COREN and affiliated with various prestigious engineering bodies,” Mashem stated. Duna holds membership in the Nigerian Institute of Engineering Management (MNIEM) and is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE).

His professional credentials also include being a Fellow of the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (FNAEGE) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE).

Additionally, Prof. Duna serves as a council member for the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and contributes as a member of the Industrial/Sectorial Board for the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre (TRECK) in Kumasi, Ghana.
