Tinubu Says He Is Confident of Tribunal Ruling
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has said that the president is confident about the outcome of the presidential election petition tribunal.
Ngelale made the statement in an interview with Channels TV’s Politics Today. He said that Tinubu is confident because he believes that the tribunal will uphold the will of the people, who voted him into office.

“The president is confident about the tribunal judgement. He believes that the tribunal will uphold the will of the people, who voted him into office,” Ngelale said. “The president has a strong case and he is confident that the tribunal will rule in his favour.”
The presidential election petition tribunal is hearing a petition filed by Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), challenging Tinubu’s victory in the election. The petition alleges that there were widespread irregularities in the election, including ballot box stuffing and vote buying.

The tribunal is expected to deliver its judgement in the case on September 6th.
In the interview, Ngelale also said that Tinubu is focused on governing the country and that he is not worried about the petition.
“The president is focused on governing the country. He is not worried about the petition,” Ngelale said. “He is confident that the tribunal will rule in his favour and he will continue to work hard to deliver on his promises to the people.”
