Tinubu Addresses Nigerians
President Tinubu held a Security Council meeting to discuss the national security situation, leading to the abrupt cancellation of the scheduled Federal Executive Council meeting.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Bola Tinubu is currently hosting a Security Council meeting at the Presidential Villa.
Service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police, among others, are briefing the President on the country’s security situation.
The meeting, which began at 2:00 pm, includes Vice President Kashim Shettima, the National Security Adviser, all service chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, the Comptroller Generals of Customs and Immigration, and the Chief of Staff to the President.
Earlier, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting scheduled to be held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, was abruptly canceled.
Tinubu Security Council Meeting
The FEC meeting was set to take place in the Council Chamber, following President Bola Tinubu’s national broadcast on Sunday, which attempted to address the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.
No reason was given for the cancellation.
Meanwhile, the Presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu accomplished his plan to cultivate 500,000 hectares of land in line with the administration’s food security policy.
Temitope Ajayi, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu, addressed criticism regarding the President’s recent statement that his administration will collaborate with state governors to cultivate 10 million hectares. This clarification came after a nationwide broadcast on Sunday.
