Tinubu Won’t Tolerate Security Threats, Ready To Eliminate Terrorists – NSA

National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu has issued a firm warning against any actions that obstruct security efforts under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, pledging a zero-tolerance stance on threats to national safety.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Speaking at the Comptroller General of Customs Conference in Abuja on Wednesday, Ribadu underscored the government’s commitment to rooting out banditry, terrorism, and other security threats.

Highlighting the success of high-level security strategies, he stated that hundreds of bandits were being neutralized daily, with many fleeing into neighboring Chad—a response that has led the Chadian president to declare war on the escaping insurgents.

“We will secure this country, we will fix it, we are not jokers,” Ribadu asserted, reiterating that the administration is working tirelessly to ensure a safer environment essential for Nigeria’s progress.

Ribadu also pointed to the improved security conditions in the Niger Delta, noting that these developments have facilitated a boost in crude oil production, which now reaches 1.8 million barrels per day. “Many parts of our country today are living in peace.

Addressing broader economic and policy changes, Ribadu urged Nigerians to remain patient amid ongoing reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy.

He highlighted efforts to reform the Central Bank of Nigeria and pledged that measures are in place to stabilize the Naira in the long term.

Additionally, Ribadu commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its recent accomplishments and encouraged career officers to pursue leadership roles, noting that opportunities for growth within the service are now more accessible.

The Comptroller General of Customs Conference, which commenced on Tuesday, is scheduled to conclude on Friday, gathering key security and economic stakeholders to discuss continued improvements within the sector.
