Tinubu Taps Former Kano Legislator to Lead National Productivity Centre

Eko Hot Blog repoprts that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has named Baffa Dan Agundi as the new Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), signaling a fresh direction for the organization.

The appointment was announced on Saturday through a statement from Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.

Dan Agundi brings a diverse background to the role, having served as both the Majority Leader in the Kano State House of Assembly and as Principal Registrar of the Kano State High Court of Justice.

The President’s office expressed high expectations for Dan Agundi’s tenure, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of excellence and productivity across the nation.

The statement highlighted the President’s vision for the NPC under Dan Agundi’s leadership:

“The President anticipates the Director-General’s utmost dedication and patriotic zeal in driving the Centre’s mandate of developing a national culture of excellence in operational efficiency and institutionalizing a performance-driven orientation toward measurable productivity in the citizenry for the overall enhancement of service delivery and quality of life across the nation.”

This appointment comes as part of a series of leadership changes in various government agencies under the Tinubu administration.
