Tinubu Tells Nigerians in India: I’m In Office To End Poor Leadership
Eko Hot Blog reports that
President Bola Tinubu told Nigerians in India on Thursday evening that he is in office to end the country’s poor leadership.
Tinubu, who is in India for the G-20 Summit, said that Nigeria is a rich and diverse country with the potential to be great, but that it has been held back by poor leadership.
“We are not poor in knowledge. We are not poor in human resources. We are only poor in management and leadership,” Tinubu said. “That is why I ran for president, to help all of us mould the soul of our country in the right direction.”

Tinubu said that he is committed to improving the quality of life for all Nigerians, regardless of their background. He said that he will work to create jobs, improve education, and provide healthcare for all.
“I want to create a Nigeria where everyone has the opportunity to succeed,” Tinubu said. “I want to create a Nigeria where everyone can live in peace and security.”
Tinubu also spoke about his own personal journey, which he said prepared him for leadership. He said that he started out as a security guard, but that he was able to achieve success through hard work and determination.
“I want to inspire you to believe in yourselves,” Tinubu said. “I want you to know that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.”
Tinubu’s speech was met with applause from the Nigerian students who were present. They expressed their hope that he will be able to deliver on his promises.
“We are excited to have a president who understands our challenges and who is committed to solving them,” said one student. “We believe that he can make Nigeria great again.”
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, also addressed the Nigerian students. He said that President Tinubu’s foreign policy thrust includes a focus on improving the quality of services that Nigerians in the Diaspora receive at Nigerian Missions abroad.
“The issue of passport delays will be a thing of the past,” Tuggar said. “You won’t have to wait indefinitely for your passports to be ready.”
Tuggar also encouraged the Nigerian students to project a positive image of Nigeria abroad.
“You are the first point of contact between Nigerians and other countries,” Tuggar said. “We can’t grow beyond what our people project.”
Earlier, Business mogul, Tony Elumelu, told journalists that Nigeria was the best place to invest and that a bet on Nigerians is one of the best bets anyone can ever make.
“We believe in Africa, but especially in Nigeria,” Elumelu said. “An investment in Nigeria promises a return that is scarcely found anywhere in the world and I do business across several continents.”
