President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to formally lay the 2026 national budget before lawmakers when he appears before a joint sitting of the Senate and the House of Representatives on Friday.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the presentation is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on December 19, 2025, at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, according to an official notice issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly.

In the memo signed on behalf of the Clerk, Kamoru Ogunlana, by the Secretary of Human Resources and Staff Development, Essien Eyo Essien, strict security and administrative measures were outlined ahead of the President’s appearance.

The circular directed all accredited personnel to be at their duty posts no later than 11:00 a.m., warning that latecomers would be denied access to the complex due to security protocols.
It also advised members of the public without accreditation to stay away from the National Assembly premises on the day of the budget presentation.

Staff members, except top management officials and their deputies, were instructed to park their vehicles only at designated areas within the annex and the newly designated car park near the NASS gate.
The budget presentation is expected to outline the administration’s fiscal priorities for 2026 amid ongoing economic reforms.
