Eko Hot Blog reports that President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to arrive in Ondo State soon for a condolence visit to the family of late governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Owo.
The President will also be visiting the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, after which he will visit Afenifere national leader, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the state capital.
Tinubu is expected to make the visits accompanied by state governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and some APC national and state leaders.
Some Afenifere chieftains are already at Fasoranti’s residence awaiting the President’s arrival.
There is a heavy security presence in Akure and Owo communities to prepare for President Tinubu’s visit.
The condolence visits aim to pay respects to the late governor’s family and Afenifere leadership after Akeredolu’s recent passing. Tinubu will be joined by an entourage of state and party officials as he meets with key figures in Ondo.
