EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has disclosed that his agenda for the people of the North Central is to build infrastructure and implement policies that will develop all the sectors of the zone.
He, however, appealed to stakeholders and leaders of the APC in the zone to remain united in order to take the party to the next level of development.
Tinubu made the call during the North Central Zonal Stakeholders Meeting of the APC yesterday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital.
President Tinubu was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, who assured of his administration’s commitment to continue to provide infrastructure and other good policies that would improve on the lives of Nigerians.
The President said,” I want to appeal to all of you to maintain unity, let’s our unity be maintained.
“We need to maintain unity of purpose, unity of brothers and sisters for the progress of our party and the country at large,” he said.
He also commended governors of the North Central for being up and doing in initiating projects that have direct bearing on the lives of their people.
Tinubu solicited for continuous support and prayers from stakeholders, APC members and other Nigerians to enable him succeed.
On his part, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC National Chairman said the party has introduced a lot of reform including e- registration for party members.
“We have introduced e-registration for party members, as e-registration will give us accurate numbers of our party members,” he said.
Ganduje appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule and the North Central APC leaders for extending its APC North Central Zonal meeting invitation to him.
He also called on stakeholders and other members of the party to continue to embrace unity for the overall development of the part and Nigeria at large
The APC National Chairman called on Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s administration to succeed.
Other speakers at the event include the Governors of Kwara, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi and Niger States.
The governors on their part called for the establishment of the North Central Development Commission, NCDC to tackle issues affecting the region.
