Eko Hot Blog reports that President Bola Tinubu has on Thursday inaugurated a 76.67-kilometer road project in Ogbomosho area of Oyo State.
The 76.67 km Road is named Adebayo Alao-Akala Memorial Expressway, in honour of the memory of the former governor.

The president arrived at about 3:45 pm in the company of the host Governor Seyi Makinde and the chairman of the Nigerian Governor’s Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq among other dignitaries.
President Tinubu was represented by his vice, Kashim Shettima.
According to a statement by the state commissioner for information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, the road is the latest of the road construction revolution embarked upon by the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
The Commissioner said the uniqueness of the latest road named Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala Memorial Expressway is that it was constructed on a rocky, water-infested virgin land was used mainly by traders and Fulanis who traversed the path by trekking from Oke-Ogun interland to the North and vice-versa.
Oyelade reiterated that the road has joined the long list of inter-zonal and intra-zonal road projects completed by the Seyi Makinde-led administration which runs into over 300km, with many others under construction.
The Commissioner recalled that the Ibadan-Iseyin 65km Road was commissioned on June 3rd, 2021.
In a post on his official X handle, the state Governor Seyi Makinde appreciated the Vice President Kashim Shettima and Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for gracing the road commissioning ceremony.
The Governor noted that the road is part of his governments efforts to reduce infrastructural deficit and “move even more of our people from poverty to prosperity”
