EKO HOT BLOG reports that Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State has declared that he will never be a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fayose said this on Tuesday (today) while appearing live on TVC’s programme ‘Your View’.
Speaking on the 2023 general election, Fayose said he is confident that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, won the 2023 election.
According to him, his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was prepared to fail in the 2023 election after allowing major stakeholders in the party to go with massive supporters.
Fayose referred to Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who all left the PDP fold months before the 2023 elections.
The former governor had congratulated Tinubu after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him president-elect last week.
When asked during the interview today why he congratulated Tinubu, Fayose said the APC candidate won the election, and he has nothing against him.
He, however, clarified that his congratulatory message does not connote he has an interest in joining the APC.
Fayose insisted that the February 25th presidential election was free, fair, and credible as opposed to the claim made by the opposition parties.
