World record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, is reportedly training in Jamaica under the guidance of renowned coach Glen Mills, who is famous for mentoring multiple world record holder and fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt.
Radio Jamaica Sports reports that Amusan, who has been training in Jamaica since September — one month after her challenging performance at the Paris Olympics — may remain there throughout the entire 2025 season.

Prior to Radio Jamaica Sports’ revelation, Amusan had been training under the guidance of former Commonwealth champion and retired Jamaican hurdler, Lascena Golding-Clarke, to whom she often expresses high praise.
“From you ma, I have learned strength, determination, self-discipline, and respect amongst many others. Mrs Clarke, I can’t thank you enough for your dedication to helping me pursue my goals & for all of your inspiring lessons,” she wrote about coach Golding-Clarke after graduating from UTEP in 2023.
In November, the hurdler still acknowledged her Jamaican coach after being inducted into the University of Texas El Paso’s, Hall of Fame,
“Coach Lacena Golding Clarke, I’m forever indebted to you for accepting to mentor this little girl with the weirdest hurdles techniques,” she wrote in her post on social media, suggesting she is still working with the coach.
